Scott Emmens, race organiser for the Kiwi Brevet, talks about his experience using MAProgress live tracking on a 1200km cycle event around the top of the South Island. The Kiwi Brevet is a bi-annual cycling event. MAProgress have tracked the last two Kiwi Brevets (2015 and 2017) and the next one is coming up in 2019.
“We have about 130 people. It’s a 1200km event around the top of the South Island. It allows all of my workmates to watch my progress. And my family. It really opens up these events which aren’t that spectator friendly, to a whole new world. What it allows is people at home to literally watch your progress and get all excited about how you’re going and where you are and what’s going on. It involves the family which would normally be at home, sitting and wondering what their family member is doing. So it allows people to be a part of it.” Scott Emmens, Kiwi Brevet
